Product Design Portfolio

At Cisco Security, I led the UX for platform-wide information architecture, diagnostics, policy, and data-driven troubleshooting — designing frameworks adopted across multiple surfaces and teams and bringing clarity to deeply technical enterprise systems.

I specialize in translating complex security and networking concepts into intuitive models, enabling faster investigation, clearer decision-making, and more predictable workflows for admins and analysts. My role frequently involved reframing ambiguous problem spaces, defining foundational structures, and aligning engineering, PM, and architecture partners around shared direction.

Below is an overview of the core domains I led across Secure Access, Umbrella, Cloudlock, and cross-suite integration work.

Platform Information Architecture & Navigation

Defined the foundational IA for Secure Access, establishing the structural framework for navigation, cross-surface workflows, and future expansion. This work aligned engineering, PM, and architecture partners around a unified mental model, enabling consistency and scalability across the platform.

Monitoring, Logs & Troubleshooting

Led UX for logs, diagnostics, and monitoring workflows, focusing on helping admins quickly identify root causes, triage issues, and reduce MTTR. Designed data-dense surfaces, multi-region visibility, event correlation patterns, and prioritization models that supported faster, more accurate troubleshooting at enterprise scale.

Policy, Configuration & Access Control

Owned high-complexity policy and configuration flows across distributed, multi-region environments. Simplified decision paths, clarified system behavior, and reduced misconfigurations by establishing predictable frameworks for access control, routing, and enforcement logic.

Design Collaboration, Critique & Alignment

Built and operationalized cross-team critique, async feedback programs, and collaboration frameworks that improved design quality, reduced duplication, and enabled distributed teams to work with greater alignment and clarity. These practices became part of ongoing team operations.

Umbrella - Secure Access Migration

Designed workflows supporting the migration of long-standing Umbrella admin experiences into the Secure Access platform. Worked across legacy and new architectures, aligning teams on patterns, interaction models, and structural decisions needed to consolidate functionality while improving clarity and reducing operational risk.

Legacy Products

In addition to platform work, I contributed to several legacy and adjacent products with unique technical constraints, supporting teams through modernization, migration, and integration efforts.

Cisco Umbrella

Cloud-delivered security for distributed organizations, combining SWG, DNS security, cloud firewall, CASB, and more. Work spanned end-to-end admin workflows across dashboards, policy flows, and configuration experiences, along with deeply technical UX involving filtering logic, routing behavior, detection flows, and multi-region visibility. Also contributed to the Umbrella Design System to strengthen consistency across the suite.

Cisco Secure

Cross-platform initiatives supporting the transition toward a unified, cloud-native security experience. Work included Remote Access visibility and troubleshooting, shared components for analytics and monitoring, and early steps toward a centralized UX model across existing security tools. These efforts helped define patterns and structures inherited by multiple product areas.

CASI (App Discovery & Security Intelligence)

A full redesign of Umbrella’s internal app-discovery and risk-analysis product. Focused on rebuilding the information architecture, interaction logic, and UI to bring clarity to risk scoring, app usage analytics, and policy impact.

Cloudlock

Designed admin workflows for identity controls, cloud-app governance, and risk management.
